Friendship and Love

Become Love....

I look at the world and feel the deep sadness. It goes very deep into our
shared humanity, into unimaginable suffering. And it is going on right now,
human beings hurting each other with cruelty and disregard. All over this
world.

I realize more and more that what is needed is love, not the righting of
wrongs. Wrongs are endlessly and variously perceived and in the war of those
perceptions there is no resolution.

We need to find love and let forgiveness flow from that higher consciousness
as it naturally does.

Between angry people no one wins the argument. Someone gets hurt and someone
claims victory but no one has really won. The only true resolution comes from
forgiveness, and forgiveness comes from love.

So what is this yucky word, love?

It is the deepest good feeling in the universe. It is what makes everything
possible. It is the truth that all angry people are hiding from.

That is why cynical, angry people would call love yucky, why they would call
themselves realists and claim that lovers are lost in fantasy. For angry
people, love is a brittle illusion, shattered by their own anger.

I try not to be a part of that reality. I am a lover of life. I love it
deeply. I pray for it, meditate upon it.

Angry people in the presence of love don't always melt. They quite often
become even angrier. They are looking for conversions to their way.

Don't fall into that. Anger is a virus and love is the antidote.

See the sadness. Love deeply into it. Give it your hopes, your dreams, your
life actions daily.

Become love, the island that becomes a continent that becomes reality.
